As an investigator at ASU, you have many responsibilities in addition to the scientific advancement of your sponsored project. The Fundamentals of Research Administration serves as a foundation/overview of the research administration process. This seminar covers several topics, including:
- Finding funding
- Developing the proposal
- Receiving the award
- Carrying out the project
- Closing out the project
You may either attend a live session of this seminar (typically offered in the Fall and Spring) or view a pre-recorded video. The video for this seminar can be found on the online videos page along with videos covering many other research administration topics.
Coming soon: FRAT
The Faculty Research Administration Training (FRAT) will provide you with the most important information you need in order to carry out your sponsored project responsibly. The FRAT will be mandatory training for faculty who are new to ASU and must be completed prior to the activation of your first sponsored project. You will receive an e-mail from ORSPA’s Activations Team notifying you when you must complete this training. Typically, you will have a week to do so. For your convenience, the FRAT is offered asynchronously 24 hours a day via Blackboard so that you can complete the course whenever it fits your schedule.
