Office for Resarch & Sponsored Projects Administration

CRA study sessions

Content Introduction:

The CRA (Certified Research Administrator) Study Sessions program targets those individuals who are qualified and are interested in becoming a certified research administrator.

Program Description

The Certified Research Administrator (CRA) exam is offered by the Research Administrators Certification Council (RACC), an independent certifying body. Passing the CRA exam certifies that you meet certain eligibility requirements set by the council and that you have demonstrated a level of knowledge necessary for a person to be a professional research or sponsored programs administrator.

Who can attend?

The RACC requires that you have certain qualifications to take the exam. Qualification information can be found on the RACC web site. The CRA Study Sessions program is intended for experienced research administrators who meet the RACC’s qualifications.

When do classes meet?

The CRA Study Sessions Program is a guided self-study program. The program involves weekly emails (CRA-A-Day) and regular review group meetings on Wednesday mornings from 10am to 12pm. The program lasts for 10-12 weeks prior to the scheduled exam each spring and fall.

When is this program offered?

The program is offered twice a year (spring and fall). The fall 2009 program is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, August 26th, 2009.

How do I register?

You can register on the registration page for this program.
