Quick start
To get started quickly, review the three items below. However, you are expected to complete all 10 modules and take the quiz at a later date.
Comprehensive training:
- Complete Modules 1 - 10 below.
- Complete the short quiz on Blackboard. Note: All certifiers and DEAs MUST take the quiz. It is a requirement that we have a record on file that you have completed the quiz.To access the Blackboard quiz, follow these steps:
- Go to http://myasucourses.asu.edu (opens a new window or tab).
- Login with your ASURITE ID and password
- In the My Courses box on the right, if you see a link that says "Effort Reporting Quiz", click on that link. The course will open and the quiz will be there.
- If you do not see that link, click on the Courses tab at the top-left.
- Type "effort" into the search field and click on Go.
- Click on the Enroll button next to the course title "Effort Reporting Quiz"
- Click Submit.
- Click OK. The course will open and the quiz will be there.
- Review the supplemental materials at the bottom of this page.

Training for Departmental Effort Administrators (DEAs)
This is what you need to do:
- Complete ALL of the certifier training.
- Complete the Blackboard quiz for the certifier training (See the certifier training section).
- After you complete the certifier training and the Blackboard quiz, return here and complete Module 1 below.
- Review the supplemental materials at the bottom of this page.
- As a Departmental Effort Administrator, it is your responsibility to be a resource to the certifiers in your area. This means you must be knowledgeable about the effort reporting training as well as the other information on this web site.
